Varsity Towers is a luxury condominium complex situated in an established northwest Calgary neighbourhood. Built as rental apartments in 1978, they were completely renovated and converted to condominiums in the early 2000s. There are 175 tastefully decorated suites in three high-rise buildings, two have eight floors and one has ten floors. Between the towers are two beautiful courtyards that will offer a haven of tranquility.
The Brentwood C-train station is only five minutes of bus ride away, and we are then connected to downtown Calgary and the rest of the city by the C-train system and other public transports.
A city block away is the Market Mall, one of the top shopping centres in Calgary. There are more than 200 shops and services, anchored with three department stores and supermarket. Shopping aficionados may enjoy a wide selection of stores including some thirty ladies fashions and children’s clothing stores. A food court with over 20 outlets will serve the tired and hungry shoppers.
The University of Calgary is a research-intensive public university with some 30,000 students and 17 faculties, including a medical school, a veterinary school and a law school. It is just three or four kilometres away. Residents of Varsity Towers can take advantage of the many cultural and sports activities of the University. A block south of the main campus is the Foothills Medical Centre, a well respected teaching and research hospital. Physically attached to it is the University of Calgary medical school and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. The newly built Alberta Children’s Hospital is also in close proximity on west campus.
Our residents are well served by the Calgary Board of Education. The Varsity Acres School is only half a kilometre away to the east. It is an elementary school with a French Immersion program. In the opposite direction, also half a kilometre away, is another public elementary school, the Marion Carson School. Adjacent to it is the F.E. Osbourne Junior High School. Directly north of the Varsity Towers, ten city blocks away, is the Sir Winston Churchill Senior High School.
The younger generation of our residents can get their education from kindergarten to a Ph.D. degree all within five kilometres from home.
The rooftop of each building has a patio where the residents can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city and the Rocky Mountains.
We are only minutes away from the TransCanada Highway that will take us in an hour to the Banff National Park, a year round playground for many Albertans.
